In high school, Marni was the kind of girl no guy would go near and was tormented every single day by the mean girls. She may have not been the prettiest girl in school but that didn’t give the right to the rest to treat her like they did. They always insulted her, singed to her mean songs and even physically hurt her. The worst of all was Joanna, the head cheerleader, interpreted by Odette Annable. She was the worst of all of them. And by the end of high school Marni just hated her for all she had done to her and for the bad years of high school.
All of this had a positive change. When Marni got out of high school she decided to change. She changed her look, to the point that she couldn´t be recognized. She took her glasses off, did acne treatment, and cut her hair. She just changed dramatically. Not only that but she also build up self confidence and was a completely different person also from the inside. She got a good job and was recently promoted to vice president, so she is very happy. All this happiness builds up when she finds out that her brother is getting married. She is very excited and can´t wait for it to come.
This takes a huge turn when she finds out that the girl her brother is marrying is Joanna, the girl she hates more in all the world. It seems that Joanna doesn´t recognize her or remembers her but Marni does and she doesn´t like her at all even though she now treats her good. It gets even worse when they meet Ramona, Joanna´s mother, that is interpreted by Sigourney Weaver in the movie. She is the enemy of Marni´s mom. So now there are two enemies that have to get along well because they are now going to marry Marni´s brother and Gail´s son. The movie shows the ackwards moments between them and how it is all solved. Here is a peak. Don’t laugh too much because believe me that the whole actual movie is funnier and you can laugh your heart out.
